Look mom...BOTH HANDS!!!

So my Gump, my sweet little Gump. He's shown right arm weakness for a long time now. And everytime I showed someone how he would cross over midline with his left arm to get a toy on his right side, I grew more and more concerned. So when I brought it up to the pediatrician on his 4-mo appt, she gave me a PT/OT consult (even though he was sucking on his right hand the whole time...should've been my first clue). So we went yesterday and I'm not kidding when I say he has never used his right hand/arm so much! He totally showed off the whole time!!! They said he looked great and don't get me wrong people, I'm totally relieved, but can I just say I'm a little embarrassed?!?!?! I mean, have you heard of the disease where mom makes up things that are wrong with her kids????? I've been so worried about him ever since his seizure (again, I'm the one that witnessed it!) and so I've been extra-sensitive to little differences in his movements and now I think I'm that mom....you know.....that crazy mom who brings her kid in every day?!?!?! I think I'm just determined to catch anything early and get him in sooner vs later b/c I think we should have put Bella in speech a year ago, poor kid. So I just don't want to wait this time. OK, time to take a chill-pill, Trust in the Lord, and let the poor kid have quirks!!!!! So the moral of the story is.....BUBBY IS JUST FINE!!!!!! YEAH BUBBY!!!!!
