Well, it's officially the first day of school! As I drove to UNMC's campus, I had a myriad (big word, huh!!!) of emotions. Excited for my new adventure, nervous for what's ahead, sad to leave my career and then there were all the bittersweet memories of past academic experiences, from high school to UNL to nursing school. Although this is no surprise, I teared up a little. I couldn't tell you if they were sad or happy tears, just sentimental, emotional tears. One thing is for sure, I am ready and it feels right. God has truly given me a sense of peace about everything. I'm sure there will be days when I freak out or wonder what the heck I'm doing, but He has blessed me with a strong, supportive husband who wants to see me succeed and a beautiful daughter that will bring smiles and laughter when most needed. Oh yes, and He has also blessed me with a little white dog that will sit at my feet until all hours of the night so I won't be alone! So, here it is, another new chapter in my life. I'm such a sap!

Tiff!!! Congrats on your first day back to school. I love your 1st day photo -- you are absolutely where you are supposed to be. Know that I am thinking of you and sending you a lot of SMART thoughts your way...not that you'll need them, but everything helps. Love and hugs.
