Hi Bubba!!!

First, Bella.....inspired by her friend, Leela, we decided there was no better time like the present to potty train Bella! No more excuses, no school, no new baby coming, just getter done. She's the kid that doesn't really care that she has a wet diaper or that she doesn't potty like a big girl (sooooooo not a type A like her mom!!!). So I just took off her diaper on Monday and boy, what a mess that first day! Jeremy thought I was crazy with my potty training techniques! But by day 2, she was pretty much a rock star!!!!! She gets so mad when we ask her if she needs to go potty, but will tell us when she has to go, so we've quit asking. Most nights she has stayed dry too! YEAH BELLA!!!! We are also going to start her in some speech therapy this summer. Some days Jeremy and I look at each other and wonder if we're bad parents b/c our almost 3 year-old wasn't potty-trained and doesn't have the best speech. But then she will do something amazing or completely touch our hearts with her tenderness towards Jace, and we realize that we love her just the way she is! She makes me cry most days because she is the sweetest, cutest little girl EVER and I am so blessed she is mine!
Now, the bubba gump....Jace had his 2-month appt yesterday and he was 12 lbs!!!! Everything looked good! She said I could come off the MSPI diet since it really hasn't changed his grunting (YEAH!!! I miss ice cream!). I told her about my concerns with some of his movements, especially his right side (it's his right hand that does the thumb-in-fist and sometimes just seems like the right arm is in its own world). I asked her if I'm being paranoid and hyper-sensitive and she said I'm probably on to something, but it could be his nervous system still maturing, so it's hard to tell. We have our neurology appt in a couple of weeks, so she suggested I make a log of his movements and discuss that with the neurologist. He still tremors quite a bit. I can't seem to notice a pattern because he does have periods when he doesn't tremor and then other times when it's pretty excessive. So, again, time will tell. Good news....the endocrinologist was very happy with his thyroid levels, so he is still off his medicine! We will check in a couple of weeks!!!!
He is a very happy baby. He smiles and coos and I swear he almost laughed! He consistently sleeps through the night (11pmish-7amish) and has good awake time during the day. He has good head control and there are plenty of times when his movements seem coordinated and normal. And the best part....big sissy LOVES him!
