Here's the GREAT news.....Well, so far all the tests have come back normal! YEAH! The MRI did show some fluid on the front part of the brain, but this is common and does not cause any trouble. His EEG was normal. If he does continue to do have the seizure-like movements, they would do an EEG for 3 days. But so far we have not seen anymore seizures. He still tremors all the time, but no seizures. They are also drawing some labs for random metabolic disorders that are sometimes associated with tremors and the fluid on the brain. We won't be getting those back for a while.
Here's the bad news....the doctor wanted to restart his synthroid dose to make sure the levels remained normal and he got a dose that was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too high last night. Soooooooo, we have to stay for another day/night so they can observe him. The endocrinologist was reassuring that he should be fine, but wanted to keep him in-patient. Unfortunately, he is starting to throw up and seems pretty uncomfortable. This, of course, will not help his tremors since the signs to look for are the very reason why we are here (abdominal issues, tremors, fever, tachycardia, etc). He hasn't had fevers, but he sweats a lot. So, here we are. again. another night. in this stupid small room with a broken tv. and can somebody please ask the helicopter to be more quiet.....they are waking up my son (haha) :)
